Invocation of the Holy Spirit
The Celebrant extends his hands and prays:
Shàng-zhŭ, Nĭ shí-zài shì shén-shèng-dė, Nĭ shì yí-qiè shèng-dé dė gen-yuán.
上主，祢實在是神聖的，祢是一切聖德的根源。
On Sundays the following prayer may be added:

The Celebrant joins his hands, then opens and stretches them over the offerings:
Yin-cĭ, wŏ-mėn kĕn-qíu Nĭ ** pài-qiăn Shèng-shén, shèng-huà zhè-xie lĭ-pĭn, (Joins his hands, then makes the Sign of the Cross over the offerings.)shĭ chéng-wéi wŏ-mėn dė Zhŭ Ye-su Ji-du dė Shèng-tĭ X Shèng-xiĕ.
